Jack Knight

Since 2005, Jack has worked in a variety of styles and genres as a professional makeup artist and face painter.

He has interested in art since childhood and expresses his love of all things colourful through his imaginative makeup designs as well as through his subsidery art and illustration companies within Knight Time Creations.

Time and experience has helped shape his initial interest in makeup artistry into a true love for the medium and it is something he has always been very passionate about.
 
His work with film to date includes the planning and application of character and special effects makeup for 'Mourning Sickness', 'Analysis' and 'Chamber', three short films produced by Workshop Productions between 2005 and 2007. Also 'Reflections' a feature film produced by Workshop Productions, director Ashok Baker.

Work within theatre has mainly taken place at a local theatre where he designed and applied makeup and special effects prosthetics for various productions including "The Witches", "The Case of The...", "The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe", "Mother Goose", "Animal Farm" and "Malice in Wonderland".

A large majority of Jack's clientelle comes from within the fashion and photographic industry, he provides a wide range of makeup styles for all kinds of photographic genres including glamour, editorial, commercial and fashion. Some of his previous work has appeared in Lancaster's "City Essence" magazine.

His work has so far taken him as close to home as Preston Lancashire and Manchester, and as far afield as London and Wales. His client's are all as unique and interesting as his makeup styles and he has been on locations as fairly ordinary as a photographic studio and as outlandish as an abandoned mental asylum.
